New Garage Door Installation in Katy & Houston

From classic insulated steel to full-view glass and custom wood, we install new residential and commercial garage doors across Katy, Cypress, Tomball and the greater Houston area. Free in-home measurement and written quote.

Door types we install

Picking the right door comes down to four things: what it costs, how it looks, how warm or quiet you want the garage, and how much maintenance you're willing to do. We walk through each option in person, but here's a starting point.

Insulated steel sectional

The workhorse of Houston-area garages. Two or three layers of steel sandwiching polyurethane or polystyrene insulation give you R-12 to R-18 thermal performance, much lower noise, and added rigidity. Available in dozens of color and panel-style combinations to match the house.

Carriage house

The look of swing-out wooden carriage doors with the convenience of a modern sectional door. Steel or composite construction with applied trim, decorative hardware, and optional windows. A popular choice for homes in Cypress and Katy with traditional or transitional architecture.

Full-view aluminum and glass

Modern, clean lines with anodized aluminum frames and tempered glass panels (clear, frosted, or tinted). Common on contemporary homes and used heavily in commercial, restaurant and showroom applications. We can spec impact-rated glass for storm performance.

Custom wood

Real wood — cedar, mahogany, hemlock — built to your design. The premium choice for high-end homes when nothing else will match the architecture. Texas heat and humidity are tough on wood, so finishing and yearly maintenance are part of the package.

Commercial sectional and rolling steel

Standard-duty and heavy-duty commercial sectional doors, rolling steel doors, and high-cycle springs for warehouses, shops and service bays. We also install commercial operators sized for the door weight and cycle count.

Brands we install

We install all major residential and commercial brands so we can match what fits your budget, look, and warranty preferences:

Openers and smart connectivity

A new door is only as good as its opener. We install:

Most modern openers ship with MyQ smart connectivity, which lets you open, close and monitor the door from your phone, integrates with Amazon Key for in-garage delivery, and works with Tesla, Ring and other smart-home platforms.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a new garage door cost in Houston?

A standard insulated steel single door installed typically runs $1,200–$2,500 in the Houston area. Double doors range from $1,800 to $4,000+. Premium doors — full-view aluminum, custom wood, or carriage-house designs — can run $4,000 to $10,000 installed. We provide written quotes after a free in-home measurement.

How long does installation take?

A standard single-door residential installation typically takes 3–5 hours. A double door or installation that includes a new opener, tracks and hardware generally takes 4–6 hours.

Do you remove and dispose of the old door?

Yes. Removal, hauling and disposal of your old door, tracks, springs and opener is included in every installation quote — no separate charge.

What brands of garage doors do you install?

We install all major residential and commercial brands including Clopay, Amarr, CHI, Wayne Dalton and Raynor. For openers we install LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Genie, including smart MyQ-enabled models.

Is an insulated door worth it in Houston?

Yes — Houston summers regularly push attached garages over 100°F, which makes any room above the garage harder to cool. An insulated door (R-12 to R-18) lowers garage temperatures, reduces noise, and adds rigidity that extends the life of the door.
